A protester with a placard that reads"stop denying our planet is dying" joins a demonstration organised by climate change activists from Extinction Rebellion outside the Brazilian embassy in central London on August 23, 2019 calling on Brazil to actThe Amazon rainforest is on fire. Last month was the hottest on record. The first glacier has disappeared due to human activity. In India, a city the size of Manhattan just ran out of water.
Livestock production accounts for at least 51% of all greenhouse gases . Said another way, eating animals accounts for over half of all the climate carnage that we’re witnessing across the world. Most of the challenges we face around the world are difficult to solve through individual action. It’s hard to do much about the humanitarian crisis in Syria, or the detention centers at the border.
Animal agriculture is responsible for 90% of deforestation in the Amazon. It’s also the leading cause of methane and nitrous oxide emissions.
Our planet 🌍 is gradually dying because we, humans, who are part of big capitalist corporations, are the Earth’s serpentine parasites 🦠 that constantly use Earth’s resources for big profits and self-interests. RJane RJanesRealm
The healthiest people I know are not vegan. In fact, the most credible science says humans are omnivores and meat protein is vital to health. I feel this is propaganda to weaken the population, but forbes wouldn’t be that sadistic.
Scientists believe 51% livestock contributing to global GHG is a very wrong number...Most accepted estimates by science are around 10-15%...
Can someone provide a source on the “51% of all green house gasses comes from eating meat”? EPA says 9% comes from all Ag NYT article says 14-18% Seems ridiculous that they were off by 300-500%
No no no TweetsByMPR ! How can you quote such an absolutely completely debunked “statistic”! Very very disappointed in the standard of your journalism. So wrong. Please check FAO data and stop relying on propaganda from Cowspiracy. 🙄
I’ve always said that my meat could save the planet
Tipping point how do we know this, besides eating plant based foods if everyone switches all 8 billion not eating meat than we’ll need a whole lot more Farm land being plowed, disked, and seeded by Carbon burning tractorsWe can’t win with you greenies, it’ll just be another thing
This is sad, something has to be done!! Just the other day I wrote a post, the impact our diet has on the environment and the steps we can take for a healthydiet that's good for us and the environment.
Where did you find your stats to back up your statement 'Livestock production accounts for at least 51% of all greenhouse gases'? Every reported global study on GHG's is around 14%. Slight discrepancy
Forbes pushing vegan propaganda makes me happy.
Perspective The Greenland ice sheet contains 2,600,000,000,000,000 tonness of water in the form of snow and ice. If the Greenland ice sheet lost 103 bill tonness per year, it would take 12,500 years to lose half of it;.... Greenland has gained 1.2 trillion tons since 2016..
What has carbon to do with:The actual 'flip over'w take place over a period of days, during wh t Earth's orbit round the Sun w b interrupted
How ? What has meat got to do with the shift of the poles, that has absolutely zero to do with humans.
Impossible Whoppers, here we come!!!
That’s incredible - we should be dancing in the streets and worshipping the Carrot God 🥕hallelujah savetheamazon vegandiet

From Burger King’s new plant based “Impossible Whopper,” to large grocery chains now carrying a variety of plant based burgers, sausages, and chicken, it’s obvious people are making the change. My “beef” with the plant based burgers I’ve seen is the high cost.
Yet MichelleObama and 44 just bought massive house in Marthas vineyard on the ocean. They dont seem worried about rising water now
