Conflict and climate refugees: Defence's climate change fears

Internal notes have revealed the extent of the military's concerns about the dangers of climate change, especially the increased likelihood of conflict or a potential influx of"climate refugees".

The defence force briefing notes have been obtained by the ABC under Freedom of Information, and they warn that there is currently no"over-arching strategy" to address the risks of climate change.
