Today, Bentley Motors celebrates its 100th birthday. To mark the occasion, the maker of some of history’s most exotic motor cars is showing us the EXP 100 GT

- working its way along the central spine of the car and into the cabin itself. The rear features a three-dimensional OLED screen on which lighting effect blends in with the lamps.

Cleanliness is clearly a big theme here. An air purification system in the trunk cleans air before it enters the cabin, with the air vents undulating so the car appears to be breathing and alive. Meanwhile, the air quality in the cabin is constantly monitored to maintain quality. What’s more, Bentley has developed a unique scent for this car withBiometric seat technology adapts to the driver’s mode be it driving and autonomousThis car is electrified.

The interior design offers an insight into what craft could and should be in the future, to include some exciting sustainable materials new in luxury motoring. This includes 5,000-year-old copper infused Riverwood, compass exterior paint made from recycled rice husks, organic leather-textured textile derived from the surplus grapes and branches leftover from winemaking. There are Cumbrian crystal interfaces, wool carpets sourced from local farms and embroidered cotton interior surfaces.

The EXP 100 uses aluminum and carbon fiber for the exterior structure, embellished with sustainable copper and aluminum decorative featuresInside feels like a sanctuary, a cabin for well-being, for relaxing and enjoyment, with every surface you see and smell and touch envisaged to be tactile, feel handcrafted and therefore special. Interior light is harvested through the glass roof embedded with prisms to collect light and transfer it into the cabin using fiber optics.

The AI pre-empts passenger needs and can even maximize comfort based on its knowledge of its the owner. For example, reactive seat surfaces respond to passenger position during driving, automatically offering more support when the need is sensed. Then, biometric sensors, embedded throughout the car, track eye and head movements, even blood pressure and adjust your position depending on if you’re driving or using the autonomous mode.
