Amy McGrath raised more than $2.5 million in the first 24 hours after announcing she was challenging Mitch McConnell

Kentucky Democratic Senate candidate Amy McGrath raised more than $2.5 million in the first 24 hours after announcing she was challenging Majority Leader Mitch McConnell next year, her campaign confirmed today.

McGrath, a former fighter pilot who lost a House race in 2018, announced the challenge to McConnell Tuesday morning and followed with a media blitz, appearing on multiple cable news outlets throughout the day. Her campaign said the initial fundraising haul included only online donations, with an average donation size of $36. The campaign said it was the most ever raised by a Senate campaign in its first day.

McConnell has not released his fundraising totals for the second quarter of this year — his report is due to the Federal Election Commission on July 15 — but his campaign had more than $5.5 million on hand at the end of March.

just another indicator of how much Mitch is hated...

DitchMitch

Guaranteed the money didn't come from anyone in Kentucky. Surely it came from out of state.

Democrat fake who identifies as a republican. Go figure.

You go, woman! You can beat the crazed Turtle man!

Wonder why so many Democrats want to 'run for President' in 2020? There's your answer: this is a cash grab. Democrats - even Joe Biden - know that 2020 is a throwaway election and Trump will win again. They're only trying to line their own pockets...

No one supporting the Dems should be happy about this. That $2.5 million is just the kindling of what will become a much larger bonfire of money burned needlessly in an un-winnable race. Add to it that TomSteyer is spending his money this cycle on his own vanity project? Yikes

No info on how much was raised in Kentucky! What a Suprise! LOL!

Hell yes!!

Why hit on Mitch..is Trump attack getting too boring

She is the DNC pick. She hasn't won the primary yet. They will piss off millions. They will lose.

She is alleged to be a pro trump Democrat, just saying.

She's pro Trump... Buyer beware.

I don’t think Andy has a chance.

Do fighter pilots get PTSD? Does she need psychiatric help like Duckworth, Liu or Vietnam combat veteran Dick Blumenthal?
