China’s decline was especially pronounced as the country continued its shift away from subsidies for solar and wind power

Global spending totalled US$117.6 billion in the first half of 2019, down 14 per cent from a year earlier and the least since 2013, according to a report by BloombergNEF. Investments slowed in all three major markets — the U.S., Europe and China — but .

The slide in spending underscores how much sway China holds in the global market for renewable energy. Despite a 39 per cent plunge in investments, the country remains by far the world’s biggest clean-energy spender with deals totalling US$28.8 billion in the first half. Its decision to pull back subsidies was also the chief reason for a drop in global spending last year.

Spending in some countries including Japan and India rose. And despite the drop in Europe, investments in both Spain and Sweden took off, jumping by more than 200 per cent in both countries.

There is nothing wrong with green energy solutions. Alot of them are really good. The problem is, the (oligarchs) thought is necessary to push them so hard that they became moot. Over spending, taxes, propaganda. They are useful, they are just despised for political reasons.

CPC_HQ just curious, is this Justin's fault?

Blame conservatives

Realistically renewable power does not work unless you have significant subsidies and they do not remove the need for base power. Dumb contracts often force us to use expensive renewable sources rather than much cheaper base load sources. People are waking up to these facts.

Because it's a scam

Is it because what happened in germany opened their eyes to reality

The novelty has finally worn off?

Duh? They finally realized green is a money pit that is unreliable

The storage capacity is not there to make it reliable, but more solar should still be pursued...

The hangover

So ....China is wrong

Easy for example wind power isn’t cost efficient. So when your putting out more money for leads power production it’s not going to work. Nuclear power is the way to going.

They saw the light

Because people realize how much of a fraud it is and are sick of the hidden taxes to pay for it perhaps?

so they'd rather be part of the problem and not part of the solution?
