Today, type 2 diabetics and society are exposed daily to extremely expensive medicalisation with liraglutide, insulin, SGLT2 inhibitors, etc. with major side effects, risks, health complications, deaths because of neglect of that for example oatmeal being too fast carbohydrates .

Oatmeal porridge has the same glycemic index as powdered sugar, 67. Not good. Provides insulin boost if you do not move immediately after eating. Regardless, hunger quickly arises with new risk factors for fast carbohydrates and animal fats.

Seriously? Carbs with carbs and added carbs to get a seratonin hit?

Had a half cup of blueberries with my oatmeal this very morning.

I cannot eat as healthy as would like or used to. Have nickel lymphocyte immune response to my artifical tmj joints & now have over active immune response. Oatmeal, nuts and a lot of other healthy food I used to eat cannot rt the inflammation. Makes it a challenge as vegetarian.

I mix oatmeal with cherrios and half a spoon of peanut butter.

Well yes, but most people want “dessert” for breakfast & load up the oatmeal with fruits & maple syrup or honey creating a gigantic sugar bomb that spikes their blood sugar, drives insulin crazy and makes them hungry again 2 hours later.
