Tesla Careens From Growth Story to Demand Worries

Tesla Inc. spent years and billions of dollars figuring out how to make enough Model 3 compact sedans to satisfy early customer demand. Now, the electric-vehicle maker is facing questions about how much consumer interest is still there.

Total deliveries fell 31% in the first quarter compared with the last three months of 2018, to about 63,000. The slowdown threatens Tesla’s sales-growth goals and raises concerns about how large the pool of buyers is for the company’s high-price sedans.

Tesla need to suck it up and consider franchise sales. In a lot of areas you have to buy the car sight unseen which is a bit of a turnoff for people, or have to wait for delivery. I like what I've seen and can buy one, but there is something about being able see and sit in one.

Let's see here. They grew sales YOY in q1 by 110%. They grew Model 3 sales quarter over quarter from the busiest quarter of the year to the least busy historically. In what universe is this a factual headline. WSJ did you get purchased by TheOnion ?
