His lack of conviction for remain in the referendum campaign added to his well known Euro scepticism very much makes brexit something he contributed to.

We are not interested in being united with backwards looking bigots and racists. We will not accept anything less than full EU membership. Labour must commit to delivering that, or the next time we punish them at the ballot box will be at a general election.
