New South Wales Green MP David Shoebridge says Labor’s climate change policies were too 'unambitious' to galvinise the public.

Labor took a suite of climate plans to the election, including adopting former prime minister Malcolm Turnbull's National Energy Guarantee, a 45 per cent emissions reduction target and more investment in renewable energy. Mr Shoebridge told Sky News host Chris Kenny says he isn't surprised that Labor's climate policy didn't resonate with the community, arguing it was merely a 'reheated' version of what was offered under Mr Turnbull’s prime ministership.

ShoebridgeMLC TurnbullMalcolm Labor climate policy can be as ambitious as it likes and it wont help one iota. It needs to be linked to a specifc.... a very specific financial benefit for everyone who casts a ballot.
