A report that the former vice president is seeking a “middle ground” on the issue drew repeated boos at an event in Washington on Monday night.

But that did little to quell concerns among those who attended the event organized by the left-wing Sunrise Movement that included Sen. Bernie Sanders , who is also seeking the Democratic presidential nomination, and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez .“Who here liked it when Joe Biden said he was middle of the road on climate policy?” asked Alexandra Rojas, executive director of Justice Democrats, a left-wing campaign group that is attacking Biden on social media.

“This is no time to turn back,” Biden said. “I’ve been saying for years that this is an existential threat that requires a green revolution. And it does. It does. . . . There’s no one who’s been stronger and more effective, I would respectfully suggest to you, on climate and the environment than me. Nobody.”

The plan has won broad support among Democratic activists and has been endorsed by several of the party’s presidential hopefuls. But it has been heavily criticized by Republicans, who argue that it is unrealistic and unaffordable and part of a lurch toward socialism by Democrats. Early polling has shown Biden with a large lead among the Democratic field both nationally an in early nominating states.

BoSnerdley It also creates a challenge if he wants to get elected. Nobody except millennials and far lefties believe it. That and their solutions for combating the manufactured problem will hit us hard in the wallet. What’s happening in France is a great example.

If Biden is going to compromise with an industry and a GOP who have enabled a climate denier working with Putin and MBS (OIL) to sit in the Oval Office, then he can literally burn in place. Like the rest of us. JoeBiden it’s time for leadership. You don’t negotiate with killers

The only way to get the deniers to understand that it’s abt “EXCESS METHANE and CO2” and not a natural slow process is to change the label to “GLOBAL EXCESS CHEMICAL WARMING”!!!

He needs to have AOC standing next to him if he wants credibility on these issues- Big Oil has most likely been nice to him.

Forgetaboutit. Joe won't get those folks. He should stick to the moderates and folks of color.

Is the 'middle ground' just alowing the climate to change a little bit? Or more slowly? Do we only half do something about it?

Climate change is natural process and humans can not make any climate change.

As I see it, number one on our collective minds should be selecting a candidate who can without doubt dethrone dangerous Donald. After that issues like climate change can be addressed and worked on.

He's feeling them out first

🙄

If only Biden was alive before Ice Age, he could have stopped it.

There is ZERO REAL Science that supports the claim that humans are causing Co2 emissions to rise. facts
