WARSAW - Poland’s energy ministry has decided to release mandatory oil reserves to secure output at domestic refineries after the suspension of contaminated oil deliveries from Russia in April.

The released reserves are to ensure continuity of refinery processing at normal levels, a ministry spokeswoman said in an email to Reuters on Thursday. The spokeswoman also said that it was up to Polish refiners PKN Orlen and Lotos to decide when and how much of the reserves they take.
