Beto O’Rourke Aligns Himself With Green New Deal in First Major Policy Proposal

Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke on Monday outlined a plan to cut pollution and battle climate change, seeking alignment with the goals of the Green New Deal in his first major policy proposal.

The former Texas congressman, who has faced scrutiny from environmental activists for accepting oil and gas donations in the past, unveiled a series of steps aimed at helping the United States reach net-zero emissions by 2050.
