Defining the News

Climatologists have warned again sea levels in the Philippines are rising at about twice the global average and are smashing into biodiversity.

Weathermen say the sea level in the Philippines – a country of 115 million population with more than 36,000 kilometers coastlines – is rising three times faster than the global average, putting many of its coastal villages in peril, according to climate scientist Rosalina de Guzman, chief of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration climate data section.

Each of these species and organisms work together in ecosystems, like an intricate web, to maintain balance and support life.
