Apple recalls 3-prong wall plug adapters with risk of electric shock.

SINGAPORE — Apple announced on Thursday that it is recalling AC wall plug adapters designed for use primarily in Singapore, Hong Kong and Britain.

These plug adapters were shipped with Mac and certain iOS devices between 2003 and 2010, and were also included in the Apple World Travel Adapter Kit.How the affected adapter looks likeAn affected three-prong plug adapter is white, with no letters on the inside slot where it attaches to the main Apple power adapter

How to exchange for new adaptersCustomers should visit apple.com/support/three-prong-ac-wall-plug-adapter for details about how to exchange them for new adapters. They will need to have their Mac, iPad, iPhone or iPod serial number as part of the exchange process.
