If you're heading to Electric Picnic or any other festival this summer - or just taking the family on a camping trip – then you definitely must invest in a portable battery pack.
It's called the Anker MagGo Power Bank and it’s about the size of an original iPod or a packet of playing cards. Its small size means you can easily pop it in your pocket and some clever sensors check the temperature to make sure things never overheat.It’s more suited to iPhone users and I’ll explain why below, but it does charge Android phones too, despite what its Amazon listing says.
The reason this power pack is ideal for iPhone users is that is MagGo charging compatible so it magnetically snaps to the back of the iPhone for wireless Qi2 charging. And it comes with a little kickstand so you can avail of Apple’s awesome iOS 17 Standby display when the phone is attached in landscape mode.
The wireless charging mode does not boost the battery at rapid speeds as it is capped at 15w. But there is 27w USB-C wired charging available too which will boost a standard iPhone 15 from flat to 60 percent in about 30 minutes.
