SANDAKAN: The issue of global warming needs to be taken seriously.

The one-day programme included activities such as plogging , environmental talks, children’s costume competitions using recycled materials, donations of used clothes, games and books, poster drawing and colouring competitions based on the carnival theme and a “trash to cash” programme.Vivian praised the carnival and hoped it could continue to achieve its intended purpose.

“MPS is always committed to ensuring that our town remains in a conducive state to achieve a more sustainable standard of living with a prosperous environment. “This initiative aligns with the Council’s aspiration to create a liveable city for the wellbeing of Sandakan people.”
