Kia EV Sales Double, But Carnival Outsells EV6 And EV9 Combined

Kia’s North American EV sales doubled in the first half of 2024, mostly due to the arrival of the EV9. Demand for the EV6 also improved, but the Carnival SUV sold more than both EVs combined. Kia’s electric sales will grow again when it adds the small EV3 SUV to its American lineup for 2026. Sales of electric Kias surged dramatically in the first half of 2024, according to new figures.

In fact, the only combustion Kia that didn’t outsell either the EV6 or EV9 was the Rio, and that was because it was killed off after the 2023 model year meaning the 1,916 that were sold this year were leftovers.
