The Central West Orana Renewable Energy Zone becomes the first in Australia to secure planning approval for the transmission lines that will link renewable projects to the electricity grid. Some residents say their concerns have been 'overlooked'.

Transmission lines to help connect numerous renewable projects has been given the green light by the NSW government.

The Central West Orana Renewable Energy Zone has become the first in Australia to secure planning approval for the transmission lines. The Energy Corporation of NSW was established to lead the delivery of the NSW government's REZ projects. "We've made significant amendments to the transmission line alignment through the process," Mr Albury said.
