‘I would go to prison’: the ordinary people getting arrested for Extinction Rebellion

Bing Jones, 66, Sheffield, artist and retired doctor I have never been a campaigner or activist before, but I have been worrying about the environment for decades. For 20 years I have written letters, signed petitions, ridden a bike – I have done everything that is “polite” – but the situation has, if anything, gone backwards.

counter intuitive, you cant do much from there. what happens when you brave fighters are all locked up or at least when your numbers have dwindled, for a group tha focuses on being smart about the future, this is retarded.
