State of Origin: Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow revealed he would like the chance to play fullback for Queensland again one day, and who he believes is quicker out of he and teammate Xavier Coates

Raiders rising star and Blues U19 fullback Chevy Stewart has had an outstanding start in what has been a fiery U19s Origin clash. NSW lead QLD 10-6 at halftime.

Stewart, who is the most experienced NRL player on the field , found some space close to the line before taking on a couple of defenders and proving too strong to give NSW the lead in the 8th minute. The Maroons would hit back with a 22nd minute try to level things up. Stewart was also in the middle of a fracas between 10-12 players which spilled onto the fence separating the crowd from the field of play but it was broken up relatively quickly and no one was sin binned.Read here for a comprehensive break down of both the NSW and QLD U19 squads. The game’s rising stars take centre stage at Leichhardt Oval on Thursday night when the New South Wales U19s take on the Queensland U19s.

Last year, Canberra’s Ethan Strange scored three tries for the Blues and earned MOTM honours. After a strong season to date, Strange is favoured for the Rookie of the Year award this season. Raiders teammate Chevy Stewart will start for the Blues at fullback for the second year straight. His counterpart is Cowboys young gun Jaxon Purdue, who has impressed in limited NRL action.
