A pensioner was struck by a motorbike being ridden by two youths in a hit and run in the Drumchapel area of Glasgow.

The 76-year-old man was hit by the small electric motorbike on Glenkirk Drive at around 4.30pm on Monday . It was being ridden by two male youths wearing balaclavas.Police Scotland is now appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward to help with their inquiries.READ MORE: Scotland fan from Glasgow dies on Euros trip as tributes paid to 'wonderful guy'

Constable John O’Hara from Road Policing said: “This reckless incident took place in broad daylight in a residential area and we are appealing to anyone who saw what happened to come forward. “We would be particularly keen to hear from anyone with private CCTV or dashcam footage of the surrounding area as this could be crucial to our investigation.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2426 of Monday, 17 June, 2024.”
