SINGAPORE: Citigroup, DBS Group Holdings and other banks caught up in Singapore’s biggest money-laundering scandal are ramping up scrutiny of their wealthy customers and potential clients to avoid exposure to illicit flows, according to people familiar with the matter.

KUCHING: Malaysia should seek alternative energy sources to replace diesel in light of the subsidy rationalisation, says Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Openg.

"Find an alternative to diesel and you don't need any subsidies. In Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan, the price of diesel remains at the subsidised rate of RM2.15 per litre.
