By midnight there were 52 arrests for public order offences and obstruction of the highway.

More than 100 people were arrested as climate change protesters demonstrated in central London.

Transport for London warned bus users that routes were to ‘remain on diversion / curtailment in central London due to on-going protest which are blocking roads’. Police said three men and two women were arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and taken to a police station. Organisers said: ‘The International Rebellion begins and Extinction Rebellion will be bringing London to a standstill for up to two weeks.

Can’t have been too much disruption, most of us can’t afford to use the roads in London anymore.

Weather hipsters. And, Or students.

It's comforting to know that strangers are willing to get arrested to save your life and the life of your children and your grandchildren. You might want to get off your arse and do something about climate change too.
