Police are investigating the circumstances

A man has died more than a month after falling from an electric bike. Police do not believe any other vehicles were involved in the incident, which took place in Cheshire on Friday, April 19.

Officers were called out to a collision on Deacon Road, in Widnes, at around 4pm that day. The 60-year-old cyclist, from Widnes, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Aintree Hospital, in Liverpool. Cheshire Police says the man's injuries were not initially believed to be life-threatening. However, his condition sadly deteriorated, and he died on Wednesday . Police are continuing to investigate the incident and are urging any witnesses to come forward.Sergeant Russ Sime, of Cheshire Police's Serious and Complex Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the cyclist’s family at this time, who are currently being supported by specialist officers.

"The same goes for any local businesses and resident with any CCTV footage which may aid the investigation.” Anyone with any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 1804116.
