E-MOTORCYCLES, e-bicycles and other electric-powered vehicles have been added to the list of vehicle types exempted from tariffs, the National Economic and Development Authority said on Thursday.The NEDA Board on Wednesday approved the inclusion, which was part of recommendations made by the Committee on Tariff and Related Matters following a review of Executive Order 12.

'By encouraging consumers to adopt EVs, we are promoting a cleaner, more resilient, and more environmentally friendly transportation alternative,' he added.President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., who chairs the NEDA board, also directed CTRM to conduct an annual review of the rates to ensure their 'timeliness, applicability, and impact.
