BYD has introduced the new Shark plug-in hybrid pickup in Mexico. The mid-size truck has 430 hp and can travel 62 miles on electricity alone. Pricing starts at $899,980 MXN or US$53,427, which undercuts the Chevrolet Colorado. It’s an impressive looking mid-size truck that features a plug-in hybrid powertrain.
The truck even has a karaoke function, which enables owners to sing along with an optional handheld microphone. The latter isn’t something you see every day, but the model also has more useful features including digital key technology and a 50W wireless smartphone charger. Other highlights include a 12-inch head-up display, soft-touch accents, and a surround view monitor that can provide a glimpse of the terrain beneath the vehicle.
