She may be older, but that has not slowed her down. She still gets the zoomies and has plenty of energy.

Our"Forgotten Friends" series showcases a dog or cat each week that has spent a lengthy time at an area shelter, just waiting for someone to notice them and bring them home to love.in 2020 because she was being picked on by another dog in the home. She had been adopted into that home in 2015 after being found as a stray.

Tessa has had a Wisdom Panel done and the results say she is 73% American Pit Bull Terrier and 100% Good Dog.She loves kid, and going for long walks, but hates cats. "She would love nothing more than a home to spend her senior years spoiled like every dog deserves," said shelter staff. CASI is open for business and have many wonderful animals available for adoption. They are a 501 c3 no-kill, non-profit, and rely on donations and adoptions. They are not run by the government and receive no funding from the city. They are a private shelter.
