Global offshore wind developer Corio Generation deployed light detection and ranging instruments for its wind projects in Guimaras and Cavite that will remain in operation for at least 12 months.
“The successful deployment of LiDARs represents a major milestone achievement as we continue to develop our projects off the cost of the Philippines. Our campaign to measure the wind resources confirms the progress we have made in bringing forward offshore wind projects for upcoming auctions in the country,” Corio Generation development director for the Philippines Alma Roxas-Aguila said in a statement.
Corio received a warm welcome from the Department of Energy to participate in the country’s upcoming Green Energy Auction in 2024 during the meeting.
