A Bronx man died last week after being struck by an electric bicycle at an intersection in East Harlem, police announced Saturday.
NYPD officials said 59-year-old Jose Peralta died on Thursday, April 4, after an e-bike collision days earlier sent him to a local hospital with head trauma. Peralta was walking in the crosswalk at First Avenue and 106th Street in upper Manhattan shortly before midnight on March 29 when a person on an e-bike rammed into him, according to officials.The cyclist likely had a green light and stayed at the scene after the crash, per officials.
