Companies are exploring the option of aligning employee pay and benefits with environmental concerns to address questions from workers about their role in climate change. 'Green perks' such as commuting benefits, financial support for home upgrades and EV purchases, and paid leave for weather-related events are being added to compensation packages. This trend aims to embed climate change within workplace benefits culture and bridge the gap between employees' desire to take action on climate change and their employer's commitment to the issue.

Though still on the margins of the labor market, the concept of"green perks" is being added to compensation packages and employee benefits.

Now there are indications that green benefit packages may become more common.
