.BenFordham on Labor’s target of 50 per cent of new car sales to be electric vehicles by 2030: It’s thrown up more questions than answers, that’s for sure. MORE: thekennyreport

No matter how much money he promises to spend or how many schemes he puts in place to reduce emissions, Bill Shorten cannot change the climate, says Chris Kenny.

The Sky News host has called out the Opposition Leader for his ‘nonsensical’ climate action plan and its ‘fantastical claims’ that are going to hurt the taxpayer. Mr Shorten says the cost of inaction on climate change will be more natural disasters, with the cost of disasters in Australia in 2018 coming to $18 billion. If elected, the Labor Party plans to cut emissions by 45 per cent by 2030 and reach a 50 per cent renewable energy target by 2050.

Who is you pay ?

PETA Credlin is bias & everything that comes from her mouth is Liberal, Liberal & more Liberal when r skyNews going to get an unbiased anchor we won’t watch her even she makes us sick she needs 2 open her eyes but what do u expect form a former Abbott Puppet she is a disgrace

Labor is the Party of scare tactics and class warfare.

Happy to destroy your way of life

Bill Shorten thinks it takes 8 minutes to charge an electric vehicle battery, I once worked on these vehicles and know it takes around 8 hours.. is this the competence you want in a Prime Minister?

If your life is threatened by it, you need to consider that your life is not going so well.

Our? Speak for yourself Credlin. Its not an assault to my way of life.

In other Environment estimates news: Department of Environment officials confirmed that they have not done any economic modelling of the Morrison Government’s Climate Solutions Package. Not on wages. Not on food. Not on jobs. Not on electricity. Nothing

Your boss is the greatest threat to life on this planet. Do you want to argue your puerile points away from his bully pulpit? You’d lose.

Put a sock in it lady!

This utter crap from the woman who admitted Abbott made up the carbon tax garbage to win an election liars auspol

Oh Dear....just more rubbish from the Abbott era, and we know how truthful He was (with her help)!

You also said lnp would win in wa and Victoria

Says credlin paid up member of lnp hope more advertisers leave just like pizza hut

Yawn. We’ve heard this shit before.

More Credlin rubbish it wont work twice lady

😂

Honestly this is the best gift Labor has presented us. They really didn’t think this one through enough, proving they are not fit to govern. It’s not that EV’s is a bad idea in the future, just the logistics, cost and roll out would take solid planning and years to implement 😂

No that time came when LNP had newspoll at 49-51, despite Abbott’s attempts to undermine. Had the far right nutters towed the line and supported the NEG they’d now be in a winning position! stablegeniuses

Even the most cursory exam of the implications reveals how poorly thought out this policy is. The impact on cost of living for the most vulnerable will be devastating. Auspol

'... It wasn’t a carbon tax, as you know. It was many other things in nomenclature terms but we made it a carbon tax. We made it a fight about the hip pocket and not about the environment. That was brutal retail politics and it took Abbott about six months to cut through... '

Has anyone pointed out the actual costs of climate change now? How big the bill will be if we do nothing? Why do you have such low value presenters?

Cannot believe how naive people are in Australia. So many factories already shut. High energy prices will move jobs offshore as confirmed by Kimberly Clark yesterday.220 jobs lost.

Carbon credits... what a scam How does buying credits from a random Indian wind farm help ‘environment’ here? If they turbines running now how is buying that movement to offset emissions do anything your still polluting & and the windmills are already spinning!

Wishful thinking Peta!

Credlin You could be forgiven for thinking you'd just had a really bad dream. Theres got to be something seriously wrong with the electorate/voters if they swallow this Shorten garbage!

The ave age of the OZ vehicle fleet is 10.1y with 30% of cars on the road less than 5y old. Feasibility is not the issue. Even India will prohibit sales of diesel/petrol cars by 2030 & the projected population at that time is 1.51B getwiththeprogram

Do you seriously think these problems won’t be addressed as the target is implemented and approached? Credlin obviously has no faith in Australian innovation and engineering.

'It wasn’t a carbon tax, as you know. It was many other things in nomenclature terms but we made it a carbon tax. We made it a fight about the hip pocket and not about the environment.' -- Peta Credlin, 2017

Look where our 'current way of life' has taken us, record high temperatures around the country, more natural disasters, fish kills, poluted waterways... Our current way of life is changing whether we like it or not.

These arguments are very simplistic and assume that humanity will not evolve beyond the combustion engine. We are on the cusp of the next industrial revolution. Which side of history do you want to be on?

Drama queen!🤨

Coalition's best strategy is to call out the lies behind Labor/Green 'climate' policies. Once and for all, acknowledge that man-made global warming has always been a hoax. NicolleFlint

Climate change is the biggest threat to our way of life!

What twaddle

You and Abbott were the biggest assault, now F R O

Dumber than dog shit!!

You are the insult to our way of life

This will cost us a fortune.....by the way Billy what is it going to cost us.....still waiting for the answer......Billy are you there.....didn't think so....Wake Up Australia Before Its Too Late

Don't worry Labor ,the Libs will fail to prosecute an argument.

Peta, the Australian public were quick to mark yours/ Abotts tenure. It was the most diabolical shambles of a Govt since Billy McMahon. Hard right conservative values, whatever they are today, aren't aligned to the sensible centre. Victoria leads the way for progressives

And our intelligence

Wonder if Shorten is driving an electric vehicle Oh no that's right he cycles everywhere.

'What if you're called into work?' 'They wouldn't force us onto public transport with the poors would they?' I think this policy is as dumb as the next non-zealot, but for god sake Peta your fearmongering is second-rate.

The climate change policy was a opening for the Govt. But yet again they are not able to capitalise on it.

No credlin you and tony were the biggest assault

So you're going to be lying about climate policy as a political strategy for your liberal party bosses again. Now that's conservatism. auspol

You wish ......... uncosted or not it will only have an impact on conservative voters as they think it's an issue, and we swing voters have had enough of the bullshit and spin that has failed to live up to expectations......auspol LiberalAus

FYI, can't stand Credlin. But that bias won't get in the way of supporting true statements auspol

Credlin you are dreaming they will be out of office for two terms who knows Bill might even end up Being our fourth longest serving PM after all Hawke did it .

CarbonTaxBill indeed will be 'an assault on our very way of life', hitting the car industry and our power grid badly with a terrible policy with terrible consequences. That & the need to cut our emissions it'll cripple our economy, Libs must fight it strongly. Credlin Auspol.

Agreed. Also most (not all) marginal seats are in rural and outer suburban areas. They are concerned by cost of living, access to healthcare and infrastructure, jobs and house prices. They don’t have the luxury of cute pet projects like electronic cars and tofu burgers. auspol

“It never was a carbon tax ... we knew that ... it was just brutal retail politics.” Translation: We lied through our filthy teeth then and we’re doing it again now because we’ve got nothing else climate renewables budget budget2019 auspol

Inaction on the unfolding climate emergency is by far our greatest threat

Don't kid yourself. You lied for 6 months to get Toney in and failed in 2 years because you couldn't deliver. Why would anyone listen to your randomly generated argument this time?

Thanks Peta, but most of us have already made up our mind on the Morrison government.

'an assault on our very way of life' 🤣... what a freakin' joke.

Peta, Australians WANT AND DEMAND action on climate!!!

No not at all but keep blathering on 🤦‍♂️
