The reality is that it isn’t going to make a difference in the global climate. The energy the U.S. doesn’t export will likely be replaced by energy drawn from less regulated sources. There won’t be a decrease in global energy demand because the U.S. stops shipping natural gas.Meanwhile, it will weaken our economy. The U.S. has been a net energy exporter since 2019, giving us increased security and providing good jobs.
