Fiorani’s statements lend further credence to a January report out of Japan by Nikkei, the world's largest financial newspaper, that Honda is weighing a plan to build a new EV plant in Canada at a cost of up to $18 billion. When pressed by Automotive News Canada at an event In southern Ontario on March 11, the premier sidestepped a specific request for an update on talks between the province and Honda.
