Biden-Harris Administration,Pilot Program,Low-Income Households

The Biden-Harris Administration has launched a pilot program that connects low-income households to solar energy through the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). The program, developed in partnership between the U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will be available in Illinois, Washington D.C., and New Mexico. By connecting LIHEAP-eligible households with community solar subscriptions, the program aims to lower energy bills, increase access to clean energy, and support President Biden's clean energy and Justice40 goals.
