Cadillac is on a path to electrification, but that doesn't mean the V-Series will have to die with its internal combustion performance cars. The brand just dropped the first teaser for its Opulent Velocity concept car. The teaser was released just ahead of the 12 Hours of Sebring, where Cadillac revealed its first V-Series car exactly 20 years ago, and the concept names the two qualities V-Series wants most from it: luxury and speed.
The car also looks long, low, and wide, and, although it's too early to say for sure, it looks like it might share its roofline with the ultra-fancy Celestiq. Cadillac has yet to reveal any performance specs, but we know that GM's EV platform is capable of up to 1,000 hp thanks to the GMC Hummer. That's enough to get the 9,063-pound SUV up to 60 mph in around three seconds, so impressive performance should not be an issue.
