If you tuned in to watch the last few meetings of the House committee on natural resources, you’ve witnessed the onslaught of bickering and points of order that have slowed the committee’s progress to a halt. On Thursday, Charlie Angus, the NDP’s representative on the natural resources committee, held a press conference with several Canadian labour leaders to call on Conservatives to support the proposed law and give workers a seat at the table. “We’re here this morning to call out Pierre Poilievre’s attempt to attack the future of Canadian workers and Canadian energy workers in particular,” Angus told reporters. “Pierre Poilievre is using energy workers and Canadian workers across this country as pawns in his agenda.”
