Saturday evening’s headline set from the Scottish act exuded pulsating energy. Their current run of gigs is supporting their latest album, Young Fathers’ fourth studio release, Heavy Heavy which has received much praise and charted at number two earlier this year. That snarling freneticism is perfectly emphasised when Kayus Bankole takes the lead. It is a welcome struggle to keep up with him. One moment he’d be leading the dancing with the band’s very talented backing singers to later climbing the venue’s speaker rigging.
