Nor should they. Something so ambitious (and in some ways, ridiculous) can only be achieved from a position of power. Defeat Trump, before chasing rainbows.

The Green New Deal isn't the solution but it's a step in the right direction since it's become a catalyst for discussing the important issue of Climate Change and how it's affecting our planet for future generations.

Interesting-moderates from both sides beginning to impact policy. About time - need solutions not partisanship .

Some Democrats aren't willing to destroy the economy.

That's why they got to go! Put people to primary them. Democratic Moderates are republicans in the inside!

Agree !!

Ignorance must be bliss Look whose entered the race A diverse crowd of socialist Bernie's words, different face Can't find more ill-informed Than the Democrat party base Claim to fight everything they are Ignorant of their disgrace … … … … … … … …

I hope people realize that individuals will be responsible for the cost to “fix” their own homes. Then more money will be needed for the towns we live in. I love how some say to get rid of the “economic stuff”. Will the world eliminate people having to pay for anything?

We pay for it today or there will not be a tomorrow to worry about debt. Act in the best interest of the American people. Not in your Parties

Climate change SHOULD be non partisan, either you don't care about our extinction or you do. Can't delay weather while we wait for you to vote.

Because moderate Democrats are Republicans

They're worried about the cost. Lmao! Considering what it would cost is a fictional number that only exists because we created it. Money is an illusion. That should be obvious considering we seem to raise this fictional number called a deficit when ever we choose to.

It’s to far to the left. This country runs on fossil fuel and will for a long time. There is no viable alternative right now.

Because it’s not a Green Deal when there are just as many social “deals” as there are climate deals. I’m just glad we survived what environmental officials said was going to happen in the year 2000... areas wiped off the face of the Earth on the upcoming crises. We made it folks

aoc is right that environmental doomsday is literally 12 years away. Get rid of the social and economic stuff in the bill so that we can save humanity

No bad comment

No, the Green New Deal has trouble passing because at minimum 50 percent of the country solidly opposes it, plus a significant proportion of the remaining 50 percent that votes Democratic.

Opinion | Tesla’s new SUV model shows just how silly the Green New Deal really isIf the Green New Deal's authors really wanted to reduce emissions, they'd work on improving energy technology. henryolsenEPPC TELL THAT TO DEMOCRATS! henryolsenEPPC henryolsenEPPC I know we’re all used to Moore’s law, and expect all tech to advance exponentially, but this is not the case with battery tech.. that being said, power density does get about 3% better per year, and those advances add up. Give it a decade and this article will be a joke.

Trump Energy Secretary Rick Perry 'absolutely' would talk with Ocasio-Cortez about Green New DealPerry's stance clashes with comments made by other members of his administration — including his boss, President Donald Trump. Watching Rick Perry as Gov of Texas, I never thought I'd say this, but he may be the 'strength' of Trump's Cabinet. Congressman Graves is an embarrassment, what a tone deaf jerk! Replace him, somebody! Rick perry! LOL. That guy thinks passing gas is still cute.

Some in GOP buck Trump, seek ways to fight climate change and Green New DealEver since Democrats began promoting the Green New Deal last year, more House GOP lawmakers have been willing to say four little words: 'Climate change is real.' They wish to line their pockets via forced transfer of the private citizens money, by using the central authority apparatus There is no fighting the GreenNewDeal.
