If you’re bricking it over predicted increases in the cost of home-heating oil, a frugal TikTok personality may have just the answer.
She claims the bricks retain heat from the oven and can then be used to keep warm air circulating around your house, allowing you to spare your central heating. “So, it might only be an extra 15 or 20 minutes of heat radiating out, but when you don’t have any kind of central heating, those 15 or 20 minutes make a huge, huge difference,” she added.
“You want to use bricks, don’t use stone and don’t use rocks. And the reason I say this is that some stones and rocks, especially if they’re near a riverbed, can be very porous and they will have absorbed a lot of water.
