Senior politicians have called for an urgent meeting with OVO Energy management following reports up to 50 Perth staff are to be made redundant.
Less than two years ago OVO announced 222 redundancies in Perth in a massive blow to the labour market. Mr Wishart said there was a “complete lack of transparency from senior management” in the 2021 jobs cull and said: “We must ensure that such events are not repeated, which is why we are now seeking to meet with senior management as a matter of priority in order to find out what exactly is happening and to ensure that everything possible is being done to minimise any potential job losses.”
“We are urgently seeking clarity on this matter and, as Parliamentarians, will be looking to meet with OVO as soon as possible to discuss this matter.”
