The University of Washington men's basketball team has made incremental improvements over the last three seasons — modest but notable after a rough 2020-2021.

Still, coach Mike Hopkins recognized the need to change things up and do everything possible to help his Huskies take the next step. For Brooks, who arrived last season as a Kentucky transfer, it's an opportunity to help complete the comeback and get UW back to the NCAA tournament. The potential was there last year. The hope is this time around the infusion of fresh faces and new outlook can get the job done.
