'I saw people go to the electric fence to get electrocuted. I saw few people being beaten to death because they gave up. They couldn't take it anymore.'

Here in the Susquehanna Valley, community members are reacting and looking for comfort as the Israel-Hamas conflict continues.One-hundred-year-old Joe Alexander lived through 12 concentration camps.He lost his mother, father and five brothers and sisters in the Holocaust.In May 1949, Joe immigrated to the United States, settling first in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and then, in January 1950, he moved to California.Alexander talked about the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

Dozens of people filled the temple to hear his testimony while others stepped in to find support.'We're still waiting for a flight back from the United States to Israel for my in-laws so they can get back to their daily life, which would include sitting in a bomb shelter for many hours of the day,” Alexander said. Jordan Klein’s in-laws were visiting him and his wife Ortal during the height of the conflict.He's appalled at the level of hatred wreaking havoc on Israel.
