It turns out it is actually possible to talk about climate change without getting ultra-defensive

A new Alberta project is looking at ways people can discuss climate change without shutting down the conversation.

"Communication has a big role to play because it can help broaden that and talk to people about what they care about rather than asking them to be different than who they are."Talk about global warming can raise temperatures anywhere. But in Alberta — where oil drives the economic bus and climate skepticism is strong — opinions may be held more firmly.

"People don't feel comfortable the moment they start talking about this. They get shut down because they feel they are going to offend someone." Opinions varied widely, said Becker. The point was not to develop policy but to find language that everyone felt comfortable using.Bloomberg via Getty Images

Methane-snacking crabs suggest they are adapting to climate change: reportCrabs that have a normal diet of a type of plankton have been seen munching on methane-filled bacteria off British Columbia's coast in what experts say could be their way of adapting to climate change. These things have been doing this kind of stuff well before man ever came along You people are hilariously sad See, the animals are adapting without much fuss and the earth is just fine. Only the most gullible humans believe we have to shut down our societies and stop living our lives in order to 'do something'. The rest of us just relax and adapt - like this crab. They'll have the last laugh on this planet.. 😑
