As a scientist I support the base sciences of warming with carbon increase, but I see no good support for attributing much of these weather events to that warming. They are all occurring just like they have for thousands of years, just more impact on people now.

It is whatever it is. Advancing technology will likely reduce the need (and the expense) of burning fossil fuels in the near future. But what will NOT happen is that any people on Earth will voluntarily accept a lower standard of living based on the predictions of scientists.
Every show I have ever seen about the past. Says a warmer planet is a wetter planet. Warmer and wetter means more plants to feed more animals. Bananas in Texas and cotton in Canada how is that a bad thing. The Sahara mite turn in to grass lands again.

The question for me is, why did the government adjust or tamper with historical temperature data in the first place? Tampering or adjusting suggest there was an ulterior motive and/or desired outcome. Why else do it?
