We have an induction hob and heat source pump. Our energy costs have increased due to the HSP. Air con is expensive to run right? The HSP is the air-con reversed and just as costly but is also the size of a fridge on our patio. Re-think

Gas hobs are, in my opinion, easier to use than others. Would another type of cleaner fuel, like hydrogen, allow gas hobs to still be used without damaging the environment?
i could always use the barbie, but then i'd be cutting down trees and that's no good. But i don't like gas. It smells and can blow up in your face. A bit like our government.

Gas companies charge too much for the gas
Electricity is still generated in large part via fossil fuel, so this makes no sense. Also, “save money on gas bills”? I think you meant to say “electricity bills will rise at an alarming rate”! Gas is often cheaper for cooking/heating, so taking that option away is costly.
Although the science is right, there is a little bit of ignorance from the CCC. All people will do is buy a couple of propane cylinders and a cooker with the right converter. People in villages who haven't got gas (like mine) do it all the time.

My missus is going for an induction hob to replace our gas one. I like gas because if there is a power cut you can still boil water and cook.

They are efficient and practical. Gas is mostlh methane so you get reduced carbon dioxide and water instead. CH4 + O2 = CO2 + 2H2O

We live 9 miles from a city centre and aren’t on the gas grid, the sewage system, no fibre! Pathetic as being only electric in an old house is expensive & can’t afford solar or heat pump quoted at £10,000!!

So you will have to buy certain cookers & specialised cookware for them to work. Heat pumps have proved to be inefficient for heating. And don't worry about the extra cost of buying that home you can't afford, you'll save on your gas bill. (your electricity bill will negate that)
