The Manila Electric Co. recorded a 6-percent year-on-year increase in energy sales volume last August, a company official said over the weekend.

Geluz is confident that the commercial segment would still account for the biggest increase in sales volume in the second half and that full-year sales growth target is still expected to grow by 4 percent. Sales mix also continued to shift towards pre-pandemic levels, with commercial segment accounting for a bigger 37 percent share. Share of residential was the same at 35 percent, while industrial’s share slipped to 28 percent from 30 percent.
