Electric Ireland said in a statement to Belfast Live: "Some Electric Ireland keypad customers in Northern Ireland are affected by an error which has capped their meter at a £10 credit limit. "We are contacting affected customers directly, reconnecting where necessary and working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
Another customer told us: "I’m currently without electricity since 3pm on Friday and have been told by Electric Ireland that there’s an issue with the coding which is why we can’t top up.
