The energy supplier says an error has occurred which capped some meters at a £10 credit limit.

Electric Ireland has issued an apology to customers in Northern Ireland who have been experiencing problems with keypad top-ups.

The fault has affected top-ups purchased between midnight on 30 August until 13:23 BST on 31 August, the company said. One customer who contacted us said she had been without electricity for over 24 hours as a result of the issue.
