Maybe the govt should offer people access to low carbon or zero emissions heating solutions like heat pumps, CHP boilers (if adapted to run on vegetable oil to cut costs or a fuel cell to cut emissions), or even just fit solar panels to all our homes and use clean electricity?

I know it's their job to say that the UK is making good progress, and to an extent it's true, but this is almost entirely due to changes in the electricity landscape. We need to be funding domestic energy efficiency increases, and local heating innovation.
