Metro wants to buy Monorails from the same company that sold them, and Albuquerque the bad busses.

A joke. I saw the entire debacle unfold along Central. Destroyed an entire neighborhood. Caused many businesses to close down. Albuquerque did not recover from the recession. That $130 million should have been used to improve the existing,unreliable bus system instead.

Why does that not surprise me? When taxpayers get screwed into making millions for a few companies for something the majority of them don't want or need (like the $62 million per mile 'HOP' here in Milwaukee), it tends to wind up as it was 60 years ago - a useless waste.

This is what the remainder of the CA train will look like in a few years.
